Over my time as a person I have improved as a writer in many different ways. My biggest improvements were when I was young, such as learning how to spell and how to properly use grammar. It's been more than 10 years and I'm still improving and know that I will continue to, possibly for the rest of my life. Recently, I haven't made all that much progress. If we look at my writing progress and compare it to something such as building a house, I built the whole house back in elementary school and since then I've really just been movin' in furniture and such. Every once in a while i'll learn something new such as how to cite quotes and better ways to write certain things like a thesis but I already mostly know everything like how every sentence starts with a capital letter and ends with a period. In the feedback I received for the French Flies essay, the only category that I was graded Advanced in was meeting my benchmarks. This means that I did my personal best and I feel that I deserved to get Advanced in that category because I really did try my best.
Over this semester, I hope to move a whole 75'' high definition flat screen TV into my house. I will do this by seeking more feedback and using it to create high quality work. I have decided to work on this because I did not get the best grade that I could have for it and I feel that others opinions are very important and can, and do, really help me improve. I will accomplish this by asking multiple people of their opinions on my work before deciding that it is okay.
