For my bio-fitness class, we took a field trip to Alston Park. This was our second time at this location. The first time was in the beginning of the school year. The first time, we planted Valley Oak and Blue Oak trees to help with something called the Napa Watershed Project. This project is trying to help Napa return to its natural state, before humans came and started killing everything. Today, we visited the trees that we planted and checked on their progress. Then we weeded the area around them and put some mulch around them to help keep them moist. The picture below shows my class walking to get mulch. The picture below shows my class filling their buckets with mulch. The picture below shows some of my classmates finding one of the saplings. The picture below shows me and some of my classmates weeding the area around the sapling.
